A pure and solid silver jewel

All itsara jewelry is solid, pure and natural silver, no plating, no rhodium plating.

It is important to remember that 92.5 or sterling silver means the percentage of silver present in the metal alloy (mixture).

Most often pure silver is mixed with copper in these proportions: 92.5% silver + 7.5% copper. This allows, among other things, to stiffen the material.

Here the jewelry is all 99% pure silver, there is no mixing. It is only when the jewel has one or more welds that the percentage drops slightly, because for the welding point an alloy is necessary, pure silver does not weld pure silver. If there are a lot of welds, which is rare, then the silver content is 98%.

Allergies are almost non-existent, unless you are allergic to pure silver, which is extremely rare.

Pure silver is softer and can bend more easily than 92.5. It is therefore advisable to handle your itsara jewelry with care:

do not too often separate, tighten your rings and adjustable bracelets, or certain stems of earrings.

Tips

- Wear your jewelry often

The more you wear your Itsara silver jewelry, the more it will shine. Shower, hand washing, sea bathing, etc. are highly recommended! This creates a kind of very soft polish that makes the silver shine.

- Store in a dry place, away from light

When you are not wearing your silver jewelry, we advise you to place it in a dry place, away from humidity (avoid the bathroom), and light, like your Itsara box. This preserves their shine.

- To be avoided:

Contact with Chlorine is strongly discouraged, it blackens the silver (avoid excessively chlorinated swimming pools for example).

Bleach and sulfur (some hot springs, SPA) are also to be avoided.

But if this happens to you, the fact that the silver is massive, it can always be cleaned (see cleaning video below) or in the worst case re-polished.

How to clean an itsara jewel in solid silver?

Do you find your jewelry a little dull? Did you accidentally darken your jewelry?

Do not panic, it is a jewel in pure and solid silver!

You can keep it on you for a minimum of fifteen days, showers, baths, hand washing, etc. This will re-polish it gently and naturally. The more you wear it, the more it will shine.

You can also opt for a faster cleaning as we do in the workshop: with mild dishwashing liquid and a stainless steel ball. Video below

How to clean your solid silver Itsara jewel?

You can find lots of other techniques on the internet for cleaning your silver jewellery: for example, toothpaste with a toothbrush and a chamois finish, which works very well for smooth mirror-style jewellery.

But the best for rings, bracelets and necklaces, is to wear them for at least two weeks, non-stop and the shine returns. For earrings that are not worn every day, cleaning may be necessary from time to time.
